US President Donald Trump has waived more sanctions on Russia, according to Al Jazeera, in a bid to ease energy prices.

CNA describes the move as a reversal. It follows a deal Trump struck with Vlamidir Putin, under which sanctions on Russia would be eased and Moscow would send large volumes of diesel onto world markets.

The decision comes as relations with Ukraine are under strain. CNA's headline says ties with Ukraine have slumped, while Al Jazeera's says the rift with Zelenskyy is widening.
