JTC Corporation has called a tender for Singapore's first overhang solar structure in an industrial estate. It will span the void spaces between multi-storey buildings at 15 Woodlands Loop.

The system will have a capacity of at least 250kWp across about 4,300 square metres. The contract covers a 15-month build and testing period, followed by 10 years of operation.

Finding room for more solar

As of the first quarter of 2025, JTC had installed 875MWp of solar across its estates, 70% of its 2030 target of 1,250MWp. That total includes 118MWp on Jurong Island.
